About the Artist
Art is a Mirror of
the World
It sees and feels everything we experience, and one day, when we encounter it, we will find ourselves and our entire lives reflected in it.
The birds I paint do not represent me—they tell the stories of other courageous and empathetic people who, despite all the storms, trust that they will not fall but will learn to fly.
I hope that someone sees my paintings and recognizes in them all the beauty of this turbulent journey—and that it is worth it.
- Elena Capretti
Elena Capretti is an artist from Frankfurt, Germany. She discovered her passion for painting and storytelling at an early age, which led her to pursue a degree in art history in 2020. Since 2024, she has been expanding her skills by pursuing a master’s degree in art education. Her mixed-media paintings combine an impressionistic style with contemporary visual language.
She draws inspiration from everyday human experience and her background in art history. She also has a deep passion for stories, poetry, and philosophy, which provide the foundation for the themes in her artwork.
When I was 12, I wanted to be an author. I may not write books today, but I still tell stories. Each of my paintings has its own; I just tell them with brushes instead of words.
